Required domain information and prerequisites

The following table contains the required information you need on hand to create a domain. These fields might be different depending on the domain type you create.

The system-created Orchestration domain supports domains and services in your network. Ensure the supported RA is deployed before creating other domains. This usually occurs during installation. Review the release notes for RA details.

Attribute Description

Domain Title

Descriptive name to identify the domain in the Orchestrate user interface or Application Programming Interface (API).

Domain Type

Supported RAs include OpenStack, Juniper Firefly perimeter, Nuage virtual routing and switching (VRS), and Nokia Service Aware Manager (SAM). Resource adapters are also referred to as resource providers in the documentation and user interface.

Tenant ID

Desired group of resources for managing access.

Domain specific details

Various attributes based on domain type. For example, for vCenter, ensure you have any image files stored on a local FTP server that you set up. You must have a main directory that contains subdirectories with your image files and be able to enter the top-level directory name into the user interface. Other domains might require specific details to complete the domain creation.

User name and password

Credentials required for access.
