Connect to the Ciena bpdr.io software registry (optional)

If you plan to connect to the Ciena bpdr.io software registry, your network must meet the following requirements:

  • Your network must allow outbound access on port 443.

  • You must provide a public source IP address of the new host to Ciena Customer Service. This allows Ciena to add the IP address to the bpdr.io "whitelist."

To identify the source IP address, use the wget command from the root user prompt.

Next, you must complete a registry credentials file to access bpdr.io:

  1. Create a Solution Manager directory.

    mkdir -p /etc/bp2/solutionmanager

  2. Create a file call registry and open in a text editor.

    vim  /etc/bp2/solutionmanager/registry

  3. Add the information listed, then save and close the file.

    url: bpdr.io
username: xxxxx
password: xxxxxxxxx

  4. After updating the registry file, restart Solution Manager.

    # bp2-site redeploy solutionmanager
