Blue Planet Installation on Bare Metal Servers with RHEL 7.2
Overview
This guide describes how to install and turn up the Blue Planet platform and Orchestration software, Release 16.10, on a bare metal server with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.2. Installation procedures cover single-host and multi-host Blue Planet environments.
NOTE This guides does not describe the installation and configuration of Blue Planet Manage, Control and Plan (MCP). For information about installing MCP, see the Blue Planet Manage, Control and Plan Installation and Configuration Guide.
The Blue Planet installation is divided into two parts. The first part covers the RHEL 7.2 installation and configuration. The second part covers the Blue Planet software installation and configuration.
Assumptions
Installation procedures in this guide assume the following:

Your server meets the requirements listed in Blue Planet server hardware and VM requirements.

Firewall ports listed in Blue Planet required open ports are open so communication among the Blue Planet components is not blocked.

You have an RHEL 7.2 subscription and can download the RHEL 7.2 x86_64 ISO image. For more information, see the RHEL user documentation.
